Loewe Announces New Totoro-themed Collection

Who said fashion isn’t fun? Certainly not Loewe who has just revealed a new collection based on Hayao Miyazaki’s 1988 masterpiece, ‘My Neighbor Totoro’.

Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed My Neighbor Totoro in 1988 but the film has since developed into a cult classic with the film’s titular character becoming an iconic emblem of Studio Ghibli.

The range includes a line of bags, T-shirts, hoodies and knitwear with emblems of beloved characters including Chu-Totoro, Chibi-Totoro and the infamous soot sprites known as Makkuro-Kurosuke.

It’s not just the brand’s ready-to-wear that is getting the Totoro treatment, you’ll also find the cutest round Totoro lounging on the cult Hammock Bag and fuzzy black dust bunnies running across the Puzzle Bag. With its message of creativity, we couldn’t think of a better collection to start off the new year with. The range will drop January 8th and can be shopped online and instore at the brand’s pop-up shop in Hong Kong.

While we wait for the new collection to drop, here are a few of Loewe’s most iconic totes you can shop now.
