Dr Matens are a staple for musicians, artists, and the fashion crowd alike. A perfect display of this spirit is their extensive collaborative history, working with everyone and everything, from galleries to legendary bands and designers. In celebration of the brand’s latest collab with Raf Simons, below we break down 5 of the most sought after Dr Martens collaborations.

  • Hender scheme

Just last year the Japanese leather experts at Hender Scheme collaborated with Dr Martens to create two new unique pairs of derby shoes. Based on the brand’s 1461 shoe, the collaboration featured a UK-made pair and made-in-Japan natural veg tan leather replica, formally known as the Manual Industrial Products 21.

  • Marc Jacob

Combining two powerhouses of the fashion industry, the Dr Martens x Marc Jacobs collab was sure to be big. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Marc Jacobs’ groundbreaking 1993 Redux Grunge collection, this Dr Martens collab revamped the 1460 boot with Marc Jacobs’ signature grunge glamour.

  • Yohji Yamamoto

The Japanese design legend Yohji Yamamoto was the brand’s first-ever collaborator, taking the unisex boots on the runway in the early 00s. Just this year the duo teamed up again with a 1460 Remastered collaboration.

  • Raf Simon

This year Dr Martens is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its legendary 1460 boot. In its third collaboration with Raf Simons, the 1460 boot is given a punk-inspired update with nickel rings inspired by the London club scene.
