This Parisian Duo’s Guide To Matching Couples Outfits

情侶裝

In South Korea it is common for couples to dress noticeably alike, usually to show the world they’re an item and in the west too, this style trait is starting to catch on all, all thanks to a new duo, the French matching couple and creative photography duo Nelson Tiberghien and Isabelle Chaput – or Young Emperors, as they’re known on Instagram

Though the couple never set out for internet fame, they did notice that their outfits started to coordinate the more they spent time together and worked together – and eventually fell in love and in the process are making matching couples outfits cool again

If you’re looking to coordinate outfits with your significant other, below we break down the style rules to stick by.

UNISEX

Young Emperors often stick to denim, coordinating color palettes, and unisex staples like button-up shirts, trench coats and stomper boots which make the coordination of outfits much, much easier.

Stick To The Same Colours

Matching with your other half can be as simple as wearing clothes in the same colour or shades. Two lovebirds can achieve a harmonious look in the same colour outfit even if you’re both wearing different items of clothing. Sticking to neutral tones such as blue, green and earthy hues will be easy to incorporate into both your existing wardrobes.

Don’t Forget About Accessories

Choosing coordinated couple’s outfits needn’t be boring. In fact, it can be a lot of fun, especially when you start having fun with your accessories. Incorporating matching beanies, belts or bags will help give your outfits an exciting and fashionable edge. Just ensure that you keep your ensembles balanced and colour-coordinated to avoid any awful clashing
